Creative Aging
Through our Creative Aging initiative, we support older adults as they explore their creative potential and create community through artistic expression. We provide fee-based direct services, including art workshops, classes and training programs to older adult organizations and community centers, as well as residential facilities serving older adults across the aging continuum.
KEY COMPONENTS OF our Creative Aging programming:
awAReness
We know that traditional care models for aging populations often overlook the importance of emotional and creative fulfillment in later life.
Integration
Our arts-based programs can be easily integrated into senior centers, retirement communities, and healthcare settings.
REcognition
We recognize the potential for lifelong creativity, fostering physical, mental, and emotional well-being through artistic expression.
challenge
We face stereotypes about aging by emphasizing the capabilities, talents, and contributions of older adults, regardless of age-related challenges.
Advances
Recent advances in gerontology, public health awareness, and cultural institutions are now embracing intergenerational collaboration.
PROMOTION
We promote the use of arts and creative engagement to enhance the quality of life for older adults.
