ART WORKSHOP PROGRAM

The Creative Center provides free, daily art workshops, both in-person and online, for people with cancer, chronic illnesses, and their caregivers. Participants explore both the creative and technical elements of art-making. Workshop instructors are trained artists with a wide range of professional skills and techniques.

Unlock your creativity and experience the joy of painting, drawing, and sculpting in a supportive and inspiring environment.

Intuitive Painting Workshop with Ingvild Waerhaug Baron

The Creative Center understands that high-quality social connections are essential to our mental health and physical well-being. Our workshops intend to inspire creativity, improve well-being and combat the social isolation associated with cancer, chronic illness, age-related health complications and COVID.

We measure programmatic impact through participation levels, workshop attendance levels, evaluation surveys, and anecdotal feedback from participants. Robust systems of qualitative data collection allow us to gauge interest and gather responses on how we can improve our programs to best meet the needs of those we serve.

We place emphasis on participant input and retention as a measure of our success and believe that participant feedback and participation rates can illuminate a realistic picture of what people feel about our programs in order to shape future ones.

AM I ELIGIBLE TO BECOME A PARTICIPANT?

Our programs are for anyone who has ever lived with cancer or another chronic illness, as well as caregivers for anyone who has faced those challenges. Find out more by clicking on our welcome form below.
