The National Training Program for Hospital Artists-In-Residence provides professional training to artists worldwide to work with cancer patients in their hometown medical centers, clinics and hospitals.

The Training Program features seminars, workshops and open studios led by artists, physicians, nurses and psychologists from New York’s leading educational and medical centers. Internships at major medical centers, case presentations, discussions and training materials that focus on the multiplicity of issues encountered in working within a medical setting are provided during the week-long institute.

Lenox Hill Hospital: Adult Oncology

New York Presbyterian Hospital: Adult and Pediatric Oncology

New York University Medical Center: Palliative Care St.

Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital: Adult Oncology

Artist Studios

Trainees are responsible for their transportation to and from New York City.
